John's Cars

Those in bold are current

1988 Chrysler Conquest – first car
1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 – fun car
1992 VW GTI – Absolute lemon
1997 Dodge Neon ACR – First brand new car. No options (even radio), drove it that way for 3 years. Fun car, wish I would have auto-x’d it (if I had known about auto-x back then).
1981 Dodge Aires – used as daily driver while the Neon was getting a 2.4l swap
1995 Acura Integra GSR (4door model) – wife’s car. Fun to drive but it kept getting broken into. Stupid thieves.
2004 Dodge SRT-4 – Absolute blast to drive in a straight line. Ungodly power for a 4 banger (yay, hairdryer!)
2004 Mini Cooper S – Wife’s first brand new car. Not quite as fast as the SRT but was a lot nimbler. Kicked the SRT around on the auto-x course.
1988 Chrysler Conquest – body only. Was gonna rebuild but stopped when projected costs for auto-x class was way too high. Powder coated the fuel door at least. J
1987 Mitsubishi Starion – Sister car to the Conquest and auto-x’d one time. It left after I decided that tricking out StarQuests (as they are often called) was much bigger undertaking than I could handle.
1991 Toyota MR2 – Auto-x only car. Tons of fun in stock class and could own the regional class w/ no issues. Rough shape body-wise. Sold to a fellow auto-x’er out of state who wanted a good beginner car.
2007 Toyota RAV4 – Current daily driver which replaced the SRT and Cooper S. Love it but it was a sad day to replace 2 really fun cars.
1993 Toyota MR2 – Currently garaged awaiting a possible setup for auto-x/daily driving. Wish it wasn’t red but it appears that Toyota really believed in red for those cars… hey, at least it is a mid-engined car. (an elise or cayman will have to wait a LONG while).
Pretty much chronological order although there are a few areas where I had multiple (at most, 4) at the same time.
